cheerleadingI've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. My first camera was a Kodak camera that took 110 film, I burned through as much film as my parents would buy for me! Camp Glengarra with the Girl Scouts brought a week with "Shutter Bugs" and black and white film developing... and my passion was born.

wildlifeMy college years were pre-digital, so I still shoot like I have film in the camera. Hundreds of rolls of film, and many more hours spent developing and printing, taught me to look before pushing the shutter. Learning to anticipate a moment is the key to capturing it. "Hold and hope" is not my style. Too many people rely on "5 frames per second" to take their pictures for them; even at that speed, the moment is often missed.

After graduation, I worked at Kodak and got to work with some amazing protype digital cameras, including one that NASA sent to the International Space Station on the space shuttle Atlantis. There was a LOT of great stuff going on there, and that's where I got hooked on Nikon cameras, which I continue to shoot with today.

So, if you need to shoot a dog show, cheerleading event or baby's first birthday - drop me a line.
